SPECIFICATIONS. From autolyzed human pancreas. Purified by chromatography. In 0.01 Citric acid pH 3.5 + 0.5 M NaCl. Store -20°C. Stable 9-12 months. Dilute with H2O, citric acid, or 0.01 M HCl. MW = 25000
ACTIVITY
70-80 units per mg of chymotrypsin protein. One unit will hydrolyze 1 µM of N-Suc-Al-Al-Pro-Phe-pNA(EPC No. SG554) per minute at pH 8.3 and 25°C. Assay media is 3.0 ml 100 mM Tris pH 8.3 containing 25 mM CaCl2, 0.2 mM substrate and l µgm enzyme.
TRYPSIN: <0.4% of specific activity on N-benzoyl-Phe-Val-Arg-pNA (EPC No. NB32). Assay media, same as above except contains 100 µgm enzyme.
