SPECIFICATIONS.
From autolyzed human pancreas. Chromatographically purified, lyophilized; may contain not more than 2% NaCl.
Store at -20° C. Stable 9 to 12 months.

 

ACTIVITY.
25-30 Units per mg of trypsin protein.
One unit will hydrolyze 1 µM of N-benzoyl-Phe-Val-Arg-pNA(EPC No. NB32) per minute at pH 8.3 and 25° C.
Assay buffer is 100 mM Tris pH 8.3 containing 100 mM CaCl2 and 0.2 mM substrate. Use 0.5-2 µg enzyme in the assay.
E280 = 9.5.
Chymotrypsin; <0.1% of specific activity on the substrate Suc-Al-Al-Pro-Phe-pNA.(EPC No. SG554) Assay buffer is 100 mM Tris pH 8.3 containing 10 mM CaCl2 and 0.2 mM substrate.
