SPECIFICATIONS.

Prepared from purulent human sputum by salt fractionation, ion exchange and affinity chromatographies. Supplied as salt-free, lyophilized powder.

Stable 9 to 18 months at 5°C in a closed container.
Specific activity 2 - 4 units per mg of powder.
1 unit will hydrolyze 1 µM of Suc-Ala-Ala-Pro-Phe-pNA (EPC No. SG554) per minute at pH 7.5 and 25°C.
Protein determined by method of Bradford (68).
