SPECIFICATIONS.
2X crystallized, MW=25,500. Aqueous suspension containing 0.01% NaN3 as preservative.
Store at 5°C. Stable 9-12 months at 5°C.
60-80 units per mg of protein on the substrate elastin-orcein.(EPC No. E154).
One unit will solubilized 1 mg of elastin in 20 minutes at pH 8.8 and 37°C (11).
Greater than 4 units per mg of protein on the
substrate Suc-(Al)3-pNA. One unit will hydrolyze 1 µmole per minute at pH 8.3 and 25°C.

PREPARATION.
Two times crystallized from the euglobin fraction of porcine pancreas by the method of Lewis et al. (30).
Does not contain trypsin or chymotrypsin.Has been used for isolation of type II lung cells.
