Description

Insoluble, nondenatured, from bovine achilles tendon.

Prepared from Collagen EPC No. CM206 by incubation in dilute buffers with pepsin, then trypsin, then elastase to remove trace amounts of contaminating protein.

Contains less than 0.05% of insoluble matter after digestion with collagenase.

Suitable as a substrate for collagenase activity by the method of Mandl (20).
